SITE MANAGER

This position has overall site leadership of the facility. The Site Manager is responsible for leading a team consisting of appoximately 5-8 employees in the sorting, processing, and loading departments. The facility operates 1st shift Monday-Friday with occasional work on Saturday when required. This position reports to the regional manager in Roanoke, VA.
The site manager is responsible for the financial, quality, productivity, and safety performance of the site. This includes:
Proactively plan and coordinate daily all the functions of the work flow.
•Proactively plan and coordinate daily all the functions of the work flow.
•Supervising employees in an industrial environment including
oPlanning and assigning work.
oTraining employees.
oRecognizing good performance and working with underperformers.
oHiring and terminating regular and temporary employees in
conjunction with upper management and HR.
•All interactions must focus on good customer service and positive
experiences with each customer.
•Recommending improvements in processing methods, equipment,
operating procedures and working conditions.
Requirements
•Demonstrated managerial, leadership and interpersonal skills. Retail
management experience in an industrial business would be ideal.
•Positive experiences dealing with customers including the public
•Experience in managing people in a positive fashion
•Mechanical background
•Experience in operating heavy equipment
•Ability to resolve issues with employees and customers
Applicant should have at least 4 years of supervisory experience.
